Tzmicha

Developmental problems, ADD, learning disabilities and other disabilities can manifest themselves in a child's difficulty to gain proficiency in writing, reading, listening, mathematics and so forth. These disabilities foster in the child an ongoing sense of frustration and helplessness that stem from the child's inability to cope adequately with physical disabilities and school curriculum.

Children with developmental problems and learning disabilities can improve the quality of their lives significantly and be integrated with their peers. The earlier the problem from which they suffer is discovered and diagnosed the easier it will be for them. Treating children when they are young produces good results and in most cases the problem can be treated until it is fully resolved.

Tzmicha - Child Development Centers, was established in 2006 by the Jerusalem Variety Center, the Meir Panim organization, Hadassah Hospital and the Gaidamak Foundation. Tzmicha specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and counseling of children and their parents. It regards every child's needs as a comprehensive unit and, with that approach, provides that child with a plurality of services - medical, educational and therapeutic - all under a single roof, with the goal of maximizing the potential of every child who receives treatment at the center.

The Tzmicha center has an experienced team of experts in didactic diagnosis and treatment, as well as a team of neurologists and MD development experts from Hadassah Hospital, which is led by Dr. Yoram Nevo, the director of the Neurological Pediatrics Unit at the hospital. This ensures that every child will receive the maximum while placing special emphasis on his special needs. The attention that the children receive is all-inclusive, beginning with diagnosis and ranging through to the treatment that is provided by the professional team. The treatment facilitates the integration of the children into a typical social and educational environment that suits their age.

We believe that each child and his family need to be given comprehensive therapeutic solutions from the diagnostic stage through to the stage at which either the medical or didactic problem is resolved or once the child acquires tools and can successfully cope on his own with the challenges facing him.
