The Jerusalem Variety Center will be a warm and supportive home for volunteers, who will have a satisfying experience of total giving. We view the integration of volunteers into our ranks as an expression of our commitment to promote the creation of a community that embraces the other and enlists to accept the other in its midst.
We need volunteers in various fields of activity:
- Playground instructors - People who are enthusiastic by nature and love children are called upon to volunteer at the MPSC - the playground for children with special needs - for approximately two hours in the morning and the afternoon.
- Kindergarten assistant - people who love children and would like to find a place within Variety’s kindergartens to help the permanent staff and to enrich the activities pursued in the kindergartens.
- Assistance with organizational and technical work.
- Professional instructors - For the enrichment center, for children with special needs, we need instructors in a variety of areas (music, drama, arts, movement and so forth). We need creative people who want to give from their talent to volunteer to instruct an annual course on a weekly basis.
- Aides for activities in the enrichment center - some of the children with special needs who attend activities at the center need individual help with their performance, disciplinary or emotional issues. Two to three hours a week on a fixed day of the week.
- Professional diagnosticians and therapists - psychologists and didactic diagnosticians are needed for diagnosis purposes by Tzmicha - Child Development Centers. Art therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists are also needed as volunteers.
- Photographers - to photograph the activities that are held at the Jerusalem Variety Center.
- Graphic artists - to design publications.
